In general shops are open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Shopping Centers open every day from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Banks open Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS:
Non-working public holidays in Uruguay are: January 1st, May 1st, July 18th,August 25th and December 25th. Working public holidays: January 6th, April 19th, May 18th, June 19th, October 12th and November 2nd. Many businesses close during Carnival (February – March) and Easter Week (March – April).
LOCAL TRANSPORT
Taxis and buses that circulate around the city are safe and can be taken on the street, in the same way we have extensive UBER coverage.
